Sororophobia was a world premiere of a new work written by Laney Lynch. The work was workshopped over the span of two years before raising money to produce a fully realized performance. The playwright recruited a production and creative team in 2024 before working with the University to rent performance and rehearsal space.
Being involved with the show from the very early days of production was a very new experience for me and I enjoyed being able to take part in everything, from script editing workshops to the final performance. Without having the support of the university or an organization backing the production I was responsible for securing rehearsal space, storage space, transportation, and even some advertising.
